I take Data Protection very seriously and only use the information I collect to assist me in providing the best possible service for my clients.  Below is a breakdown of the information I collect, and why.

 

At any time, you may request a copy of the information I have recorded about you.  You may also request that I remove all identifiable information with respect to you.  

 

As a matter of housekeeping, I will delete all of your identifiable information on the third anniversary of the date of your last fulfilled appointment.

 

Personally Identifiable Information

I request the minimum level of personally identifying information to run my business effectively.  This is data you provide to me directly by way of the Client Consultation Form completed at the beginning of your first appointment, and includes:

 

• your full name, address and contact details;

• your date of birth.

 

I will never obtain information about you from sources outside of my business.

 

Medical History

I will obtain your consent prior to storing information related to your medical history.  The content of the services I provide must be adapted depending on their suitability to each individual client.  I am therefore required to ask questions related to your medical history, for example:

 

• existing medical conditions;

• allergies;

• prescribed medication;

• pregnancy;

• existing injuries that may impact your requested service;

• GP details.

Treatment Records

I record treatment notes for each appointment that you attend.  This includes:

 

• condition of your natural nails on arrival;

• changes to nail shape/length;

• colour and design choices;

• any issues you may have experienced between appointments;

• nail treatment results/changes/recommendations;

• changes to medication or general health that you advise;

• my professional recommendations regarding aftercare;

• the date of your next scheduled appointment.

 

SMS Text Message Appointment Reminders

By way of SMS Text Message, I will send you a reminder within 24hrs of your next appointment.  I consider your having made the appointment as consent to undertake this activity but it is your right to opt-out.
